主讲人简介

大卫·弗格森（David Ferguson），外文出版社英文主编、作家，中国政府友谊奖获得者，中华图书特殊贡献奖获得者。中国外文局高级编审，常年从事英文翻译与编辑方面的研究和培训。毕业于英国爱丁堡大学，熟练掌握英语、法语、德语和意大利语。参与了《习近平谈治国理政》一、二、三、四卷的英文编译工作，在国际传播领域具有较高的知名度和影响力。

内容简介

Module 1: International Discourse – Lessons for Translators

This module will examine the current international situation, the issues China faces, and how its discourse responds to these issues. It will highlight some areas of opportunity for improvement, and examine how the role of translators might evolve as China’s discourse evolves.

Module 2: Structural and Cultural Issues in Chinese-English Translation

This module examines some of the issues raised inEnglish Chinglish and Wronglish IIIin more detail, and some issues that have not been covered in the ECW series.

Module 3: Exercise in editing

An exercise that will be sent to the students before the lecture, to give them the opportunity to practice some of what they have been taught.
